Saturday, July 26, 2014, Mountain Vista Fire District crews had a busy morning responding to and extinguishing two working structure fires. The first, located in the1100 block of W. Newton Drive on the northwest side of Tucson, was an attached workshop off of a garage. The fire was confined to the shop area and was quickly extinguished. Two fire engines, two rescues, a water tender and a command unit with sixteen total personnel were on scene to fight the fire. The cause is thought to be faulty electrical wiring, but is still under investigation.
