Class size is limited, Registration is on a “First Come, First Served Basis” This is an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED Training (Not Healthcare Provider Level). It includes adult, child and infant CPR and AED skills. Participants must be 12 years of age by class date and 12-16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult participant. Upon completion, participants will receive a two-year American Heart Association Card.

Class will be held at the Mountain Vista Fire District located at 1175 W. Magee Rd. American Heart Association Family and Friends Heart Saver Course

This course is designed for people who do not need a course completion card for a job or other requirement.  This course is ideal for parents, grandparents and family caregivers. This course will cover Hand-Only CPR, AED use and chocking for all ages.

Fees: Resident – Free

Heart Saver CPR/AED/First Aid

This American Heart Association course teaches basic CPR AED and First Aid skills.
Heartsaver  First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. If you are a healthcare provider, you will want to sign up for the BLS for Healthcare Providers course instead.

Students learn skills such as how to treat adult victims for bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, breathing problems, seizures, and other first aid emergencies, in addition to CPR and AED use.

BLS Healthcare Providers Course

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Intended Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

***Classes start promptly at the listed start time. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class is scheduled to start, so that you may sign in and the instructor can go over any administrative information that needs to be covered. All students must be in class by 15 minutes after class start time. Any student who is not in class by then must reschedule their course. No refunds will be issued.***

All Classes are taught by AHA certified instructors who are either Mountain Vista Fire District employees or CPR2U employees
